First off...

Shouts out to everybody still in the everyday grind we call 'life'. 'Life' is even harder for those of us chasing dreams, but we continue to push and that's what separates the talkers from the doers.

Anybody Anywhere Can do it

Entrepreneurship is the key to changing the world's poverty rate. The power is and always will be in the masses of the people across the world. Noone knows the needs of a community more than the people that make up the community. I hope this video from Skoll foundation inspires you to keep believing...

Survival of the Fit Only the Strong Survive

Does losing more than winning make you a loser? Not when it comes to business. Failing is always an opportunity for advancement. It's the best learning opportunity an entrepreneur can invest in. Why? Because a smart person will remember their mistakes and grow from them. Not only in business, but in life as well I would hope. I have been involved in music since for 16 years and I have made more mistakes than good decisions. But, I wouldn't trade any of the mistakes because I gained wisdom that I use to this day and continue to pass on to young rappers and singers. I have fallen down many times, but I always get up. What about you? Check out the video below talking about business and failure vs success rates.

First off...

I would like to apologize to everyone for the late submission of this week's newsletter. Me and my family are in the middle of opening a new convenient/clothing store and it's been crazy. This weeks edition will be dated for 11/23/09. Enjoy!

Little Debbie Snacks

Who hasn't eaten a Little Debbie snack?? I mean seriously, even the most health conscious person will spend a few quarters (I remember when they were 25 cents) on a Little Debbie snack every blue moon. Personally I am hooked on the oatmeal pies right now, I finally moved on from the fudge rounds. lol

Recently I purchased a box of the oatmeal pies and happened to read the back of the box. It was a brief story about how the company was started. Inspiring to say the least.

During the early 1930's of the Great Depression era the original owners (O.D and Ruth Mckee) lost their entire life savings after a bank failure. Wow. But they didn't fall and stay down though. They relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 1933. O.D. worked as a bakery salesman at a local shop called Becker's Bakery selling Virginia Dare Cakes for five cents each. By 1934 O.D. had enough money to buy his own delivery truck. He then found out that another Chattanooga bakery called Jack's Cookie Company, was up for sale. O.D. sold his truck and him and his wife Ruth became owners and operators of their first business.

Stories like this are common in the United States. Some people choose to make excuses and some people choose to make something happen.

The video below is a guy singing about how much he loves Little Debbie snacks. lol

Master P

Master P was the blueprint before the blueprint. With all the new artists who have come after Master P, people have forgotten what this guy has done. I haven't. Independent labels owe alot to Master P. From his initial deal with Priority records in 1996 to the millions of albums sold, movies produced and now he is taking on another role in a new series on VH1 called "No Excuses" where he takes over where T.I left off in the area of intervention for "inner city youth". This dude has earned my respect 10 fold.

Check out this interview he did about the show, which recently launched.

Entrepreneurship
My new motto is "F*ck a Job!"

What up everybody? It's ya boy C-H.2.O back at it again. And I'm more motivated to build a number of successful businesses now more than ever.

Why are so many people dependent on jobs? It's amazing to see so many people who have no confidence in themselves being able to generate money outside of a traditional 9-5 job. Wealthy people realize that working 9-5 at almost any job will not yield any promising results. If u have never read 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad' then you need to. That book will amplify my new motto and make it make sense to you. At any given point and time your 'secure' job can decide that they no longer need your services. At that point what will you do? Probably collect unemployment hopefully and look for another job right? Why?? If you ever want to have true financial freedom then a job is NOT the way to go. F*ck a Job!

This video below will give you something to think about regarding a job versus having your own business; regardless of the business size.

Biz Kids
Young Entrepreneurs

The mind-set of Entrepreneurship can start as soon as a child is able to follow instructions. Most people (including children) are motivated to have things in life. If u aren't then you are an alien to me. Kids always are asking for something. An important goal of mine is to educate my nieces and nephews and give them the tools necessary to become entrepreneurs. If they want something then they should be willing to work for the money they need to get what they want. Working for somebody else in order to generate income for a short period of time is o.k, but do not disregard the enormous potential teaching your children the basics of entrepreneurship will have on their lives.

Check out this Young Entrepreneur below. Seeing stuff like this gives me HOPE and inspires me to keep pushing my entrepreneurship agenda as well

The Realestate Business

    Online Real Estate Marketing

What's up everybody? Another week on the grind for yours truly. The rich always seem to get richer and the poor follow suit in getting poorer. Whats the difference between the rich and the poor?

Rich people understand how money works, are more educated about money and usually are willing to take more risks in order to become rich. Poor people are confused about how money is generated from a rich person's point of view, are usually less educated about money and many other areas of life and definitely are too negative to ever take risks that may help them become rich.

The video below is TOP NOTCH information about how to maximize the searches on the internet and use them to your websites advantage. After researching this video, the guy is obviously attempting to sell the knowledge he is putting out by only giving so much info for free. The knowledge may be worth the cost, but it can be acquired and perfected with time and research.

A basic understanding of how keywords are used is necessary in order to fully appreciate a video like this, so be ready to do some additional research. I would also suggest setting up an account with google ad words as well as google analytics.

Business Principles

    Attitude

I wonder how many people in the world hate their job? A lot I would bet. Are we destined to spend 8-12 hours a day doing something we HATE? Not me.

It's hard to keep a positive attitude about a situation that we are not happy with, but being negative about it doesn't resolve it. Zig Zigler has made alot of money helping to change people's attitudes toward life. Check him out below.

Closing Thoughts

America is changing and the way we do business needs to change as well. Depending on a JOB to always be there is not the gonna work anymore. Corporations and small companies ARE NOT obligated to give you paid time off, good benefits and good pay. The closest thing to a guaranteed paycheck is to become a walking paycheck. The more skills you develop that can be transferred to income the more income you will have (with alot of effort and consistency). The internet and the library have more than enough resources for anyone to acquire the necessary skills to make money outside of a 'punk a** job'. Take advantage of the internet while it is still essentially "free".

The Music Business

    Jay-Z
    Rapper/Entrepreneur

What's good everybody? With the recent release of Jay-Z's 3rd installment of the Blueprint series, I have been drawn back into the success story of Jay- Z. Love him or hate him, you have to respect what he has done for Hip-Hop/Rap.

Who would have ever envisioned seeing a rapper on as many mainstream programs as Jay-Z was during the anticipated release of 'The Blueprint 3'. What do you believe is Jay-Z's effect on Hip-Hop/Rap? What can aspiring dream chasers learn from Jay-Z?

Regardless of what u think about Jay-Z's career in the world of music and business; his success can be summed up in his own quote "men lie, women lie, numbers don't". Check out this clip below.

I am beginning to think that I am in a small minority of people who does not have any tattoos? Am I, or am I tripping? Even still the tattoo business definitely IS a business.

If you are interested in becoming a legitimate tattoo artist the video below will be very helpful for you. Even if you don't want to be a tattoo artist this video will at the very least be educational from an entrepreneurial standpoint.

Fashion Sense

So you want to start your own clothing line, huh???

I have concluded that people will always need food, shelter, entertainment and clothing. Clothing may be a necessity, but a specific line is not a necessity. I know a lot of people who have tried, are trying, succeeding and failed in the clothing industry. Why? Are clothing companies doomed to have a high failure rate like restaurants? What are the keys to success in the clothing industry?

The following video is 5 years old, choppy and I wasn't able to find the other videos that are linked to it. But, the video has great information in it. Let me know what you think. It's ya boy C-H.2.O the Artist signing off... One!
